This type of assement can help in clarification of more severe neurological disorders such as:
- Head Injury;
- Epilepsy;
- Alzheimer’s Disease;
- Brain Tumor;
- Parkinson’s Disease;
- Dizziness;
- Nausea;
- Blackouts;
- Changes in Personality or Thinking Skills; and,
- Worsening of Memory.
Emotional disorders are often linked to neurological problems due the to direct effects on the brain, secondary anxieties, tension, and sadness due to changes or limitations in an individual’s ability to function.
If Toxic Exposure is suspected, a neuropsychological assessment would be recommended to evaluate changes in:
- Cognitive Functioning
- Impairment of the brain and nervous system resulting from toxic exposure
